How we can help you.

Physiotherapy can be used to help treat a wide range of musculo-skeletal injuries and pains.

For example, low back-pain, or headaches or a sprained ankle. In this practice, approximately 75% of the conditions that we treat are back or neck-related.

We are a "hands on" practice ...

...believing this is the most effective support for the body’s own natural ability to heal, and to gain a speedy recovery to normal activities. During your initial visit we take time to fully assess your condition and make a clear diagnosis. From that we decide on a treatment programme suitable for you.

We work on a one to one basis with you, using joint-mobilisation, manipulation, massage, stretches and various exercises designed to help strengthen and mobilise the area being treated. We do use ultrasound to help relieve acutely painful injuries, and will also use various splints, supports and strapping when necessary.

We also believe in the saying that "prevention is better than cure", and we put an emphasis on helping you to understand the cause of your injury or condition and how you can be more aware of it to prevent a recurrence.

Should you have a condition that requires treatment from time to time, we will help you to learn how to look after yourself and encourage you to work and play within the parameters of the injury. The advice we give you in this regard relates to both your home and to your work environment.
